From Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta to Chacala
To get to Marina Chacala by car from Puerto Vallarta, travel north for 90 minutes on interstate 200, turn west at the Chacala junction just before Las Varas. Travel an additional 15 minutes on the Chacala – Las Varas highway until it dead-ends at the entrance to Marina Chacala. The entrance is a red wall with two large wooden doors, and it is staffed 24/7.
The Puerto Vallarta bus terminal is only 5 minutes by taxi from the airport, with many carriers traveling several routes north along interstate 200. Two of the most popular routes are to La Peñita de Jaltemba aboard Primera Plus ( www.primeraplus.com.mx), and to Las Varas aboard Pacifico (estrellablanca.com.mx).
Taxis from the airport in Puerto Vallarta to Chacala can cost MXN $800 – $1500 depending on your negotiating skills and distance from the airport.
From Guadalajara
Guadalajara to Chacala
To get to Marina Chacala by car from Guadalajara, travel northwest on toll freeway 15D for 2 hours, west on toll freeway 68D for 1hour and 10 minutes, southwest on interstate 200 for 40 minutes, and turn west on at the Chacala junction just after Las Varas.
